Reflections of a culture broker : a view from the Smithsonian

Broadly defining the profession of culture broker, Richard Kurin draws on his diverse experiences in producing exhibitions and public programs to urge museum professionals, filmmakers, journalists, festival producers, and scholars to better envision the ways in which their messages "play" to different audiences, and to better understand the relationship between knowledge, art, politics, and entertainment.
